The route starts at the Information desk located at Capdella’s viewpoint. From there, follow the road uphill until you get to a curve. First, you will find the way to the “little channel” (Canal xic). This route starts a few metres further.
To begin with, the path penetrates into a wooded area surrounded by hazel trees. It then goes uphill until a place where it passes over a 800-metre pipe that carries the water from the reservoir to the power station as well as over the old cable car railway that goes up in parallel with the pipe. From there, the path goes downhill across box and hazel trees (further on), until getting to a forest path.
Follow the path to the right until you pass again over the pipes, take the last section that crosses the old pine trees nursery and connects with the pipes and the old cable car railway.
If you leave the railway of the old cable car, you can also see the first power station, called “the little station”, which was used to build Capdella’s power station. Both of them are still in use.
The route ends up just next to Capdella’s Hydroelectric Museum and Hydroelectric power station.
From the neighbouring village of Senterada, follow the L-503 road to La Vall Fosca until Capdella.
