Vall Fosca holds the Fishing Catalan Cup

After 15 years without being held, the Catalonia Cup of salmonids and Fly Launched at provincial level will be celebrated again.

Vall Fosca will host the 25th and 26th of July the trout fly and light casting fishing Catalan Cup. It is a new sports event, which aims to prepare the athletes in the competition rules and techniques of fishing, very different from those used in recreational fishing in general.

This is one of the reasons for choosing the Flamisell river for this event, as this is a Native Trout Genetic Reserve with populations of the Mediterranean race, wild and distrustful, and a river where its characteristics of channel, flow and vegetation require a very demanding fishing technique.

Catalonia has three World Champions this year in the most difficult and competitive specialty of salmonid fishing  with fly along with the rest of the Spanish participants in the 35th World Championship that took place from 15 to 21 June 2015 in the town of Jajce (Bosnia and Herzegovina).

We hope that the young athletes who will meet this weekend to Vall Fosca also achieve the success of its predecessors.
